To add a 4- and 7-Way connector to your 2005 Pontiac Vibe that already has a 4-Way AND to have it work with the Prodigy RF # TK94FR you will need a couple of parts. First you will need # 37185. The 4-Way you have plugs into this, retains the 4-Way and also adds a 7-Way.
This adapter has several wires that you will need to hardwire to the vehicle so that it will work with the RF. First, ground the white wire to the frame. Since you are using the Prodigy RF you will not need the blue wire so you can tape it up and stow it out of the way. You probably will not need the purple wire which is for reverse lights. If the trailer has reverse lights then the purple wire will splice into a reverse light wire on the Vibe.
The black wire will be needed. It is the 12 volt power wire and needs to be connected to the vehicle battery. To do this you will need about 20 feet of wire # 12-1-1 and a 40 amp circuit breaker # PK54540. Attach one end of the 12-1-1 wire to the 37185 black wire. then route the wire to the front of the vehicle near the battery avoiding areas that can pinch or burn the wire.
You will have some left over wire which will be needed. the end you routed will go to the AUX post on the circuit breaker. Then, using the leftover wire, attach one end to the BAT post on the circuit breaker and the other end to the positive battery terminal. And that's all there is to it!
I also recommend wiring kit # HM51010 which comes with a lot of the accessories you will likely need for this project.
