I am thinking I need a Hidden Hitch for my 2004 jetta wagon tdi. The computer seems to not specify tdi so wanted to make sure that will fit. also will the swagman travelor xc tray work with this hitch? I think I need 11/4 inch. thanks.

I'd recommend the Curt Class I Hitch, part # C11083. This hitch is compatible with TDI models. I have linked you to the installation instructions.
This will work well with your Swagman XC part # S64650.
Curt requires the use of their stabilizer strap part # 18050 when using their hitch to carry a non-supported load like a bike rack. I attached a review video for you to check for the strap as well.
