We have not had an opportunity to install this hitch on a Ram truck so I am not able to tell you how far the center of the hitch pin hole to the front of the bumper is but I can give you dimensions that will help you figure it out.

You can look at the attached installation instructions and see where the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 65057 installs on your 2012 Ram truck frame. I have attached a photo of the trailer hitch and have noted the dimensions you need to consider. On the truck frame there is a plate attached to the frame that the mounting plate on the hitch attaches to. Measure 9-1/8 inches from that plate on the truck frame forward and that is where the hitch pin hole on the trailer hitch will be.

You can then see how much clearance is needed for your Swagman XC, part # S64650. The XC has a distance of 10-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole on the shank to the edge of the wheel hoop.
