Lug Nut Torque Rating for HWT # AM20258 Aluminum Hi-Spec Trailer Wheels

just purchased and installed four of these wheels on a pontoon boat trailer....pkg wt approx 3920 lbs...tandem axles....are these appropriate for this use and what torque setting should i use?

The wheel in question, part # AM20258 has a 1660 lb capacity, multiply that by 4 wheels, and you have a 6640 lb capacity. The actual capacity will depend on the capacity of the tires used. Find the capacity of one tire (see the tire sidewall) and multiply it by 4 to get your wheel/tire capacity.

The wheel is compatible with a 1/2 inch wheel stud. The lug bolts should be tightened to 90-120 lb-ft depending on the wheel diameter, what material the wheel's been constructed of and the type of lug nut used. 90-100 lb-ft is a pretty safe torque rating. You should re-torque them at 10 miles, 25 miles, and 50 miles, and then periodically after that.
