Best Tonneau Cover for 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 6-1/2-Foot Bed for Preventing Entry of Water

Question:

I have a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 crew cab short bed 6-6. I like the truxedo Lo pro cover. I like the idea that it snaps out completely. My question is with the cover going inside the bed rails whats my chance of getting rain in the bed? We do a lot of traveling and I cant have ANY water get in the bed. I read a lot of reviews about people saying they get some water in there beds with different covers. Please help so I know to look at different ones if need be thank you!

There is no tonneau cover that can provide 100% assurance that water will never enter the bed. In a driving rain while travelling at highway speeds, for example, forces will allow some amount of water to get through seams and enter the bed area. There is simply no cover made that can provide absolute protection against entry of water. If there were, that would be the only one we'd sell!

Hard style folding tonneau covers that mount on top of the bed rails will tend to provide better protection than roll-up soft covers or covers that mount inside the bed rails. The cover shown on the linked page offers such construction. That is the Solid Fold 2.0 # EX83450. This will give the best protection to the cargo items in your truck bed.
