Reliance Brake Controller E1 Error on a 2014 Chevy Silverado 4x4

Question:
Have a reliance trailer system, installed by Chev dealer on 2014 Chev Silverado 4x4. When Joplin trailer to system, E1 code. Have checked recommendations from other questions on this site, still have no brakes, power is going to them

The E1 error code on the Reliance brake controller indicates a trailer is not connected. You mentioned that power is getting back to the brakes. I assume you are checking for power at the brake magnets. Also check the ground wires for the magnets and make sure they are attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces near the magnets.
If you can see the copper windings coming through on the magnets then they will need to be replaced. You can further test the magnets by following the help article I have linked.
The Reliance has been known to have issues. I recommend going with a different controller for your 2014 Chevy Silverado. For a good proportional controller that won't brake the bank I recommend the Primus # TK90160 which can plug directly into your truck using wiring harness # 3016. I have included a link to a video showing an example installation for you.
