When choosing a weight distribution system the most important thing to know is the tongue weight. The tongue weight is the tongue weight of your fully-loaded trailer in its ready-to-tow condition added to the weight of any cargo you are going to load behind the rear axle of your towing vehicle.
I do recommend a weight distribution system with sway control. Sway can be caused by high winds or large passing trucks. You want to select a system where the tongue weight falls in the middle of the range for the weight distribution system. I would estimate your tongue weight to be about 350 to 400 lbs.
The weight distribution system I recommend is the Reese Weight Distribution, part # RP66540. This works with tongue weight between 200 and 600 lbs.
If your boat trailer has a pole tongue you will also need a pole tongue adapter like part # RP3280.
The hitch balls are sold separately. For a 2 inch hitch ball I recommend part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball I recommend part # 19286.
