Will the Derale Spin-On Remote Oil Filter Adapter Work on a 1964 Ford Interceptor Y block 312 CID

Question:

I own a 1964 Trojan boat with twin Ford Interceptor motors.. I believe they are 312 cid.. both have remote oil filters and the takeoff plate is getting weak and should be replaced... Do you know if your D35703 would work? thanks

The Derale Premium Spin-On Adapter Kit - 3/4-16 Engine Filter Threads, item # D35703, is designed to replace the adapter that goes on the engine block filter landing. My reference guide only goes back to 1965 but I am confident that the 3/4-16 threads will work on your 1964 Ford motors. 312 CID translates to 5.1 Liters which is most likely what they now call the 5.0 liter Ford engine.

Along with the spin on adapter you will need the Derale 1/2 inch NPT Male x 1/2 inch Barb Straight Hose Fitting, item # D98103, some Derale Stainless Steel Hose Clamps (4 Piece), item # D13008, and enough 1/2 inch inner diameter, High-Temperature, hose to replace the existing hose on your remote oil filter setup. We have several lengths available (listed below).

Derale High-Temperature Replacement Hose for Engine Applications
10 feet Long, item # D15700
5 Feet Long, item # D15701
25 Feer Long, item # D15799

If you need to replace the filter landings, remote filter connections, you will need two of the Derale Remote Oil Filter Mount Kit w/ 1/2 inch NPT Ports Up, item # D15708, which will use the same 3/4-16 threads that your engine block has.
