Can Edge Programmers be Unplugged After They Are Done Programming PCM

Question:
does the edge diesel cts2 have to remain connected to the obdII port or can I have program it and then disconnect it. I dont want it mounted in the vehicle.

Expert Reply:
Once you are done programming your vehicle you could unplug the Edge Diesel Evolution CTS3 # EP96TR from your truck and the tune would stay on the vehicle. You will need to be sure that the programmer is completely done programming the PCM before you unplug it though.
