To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
If the trailer weighs 7,700 pounds then the tongue weight should be 770 to 1,155 pounds which is 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight but it could be higher.
Based on the design of the Flagstaff V-Lite series to use a Reese Strait-Line system such as # RP66074 you will need to also get chain hangers # RP58305 instead of the snap-up brackets that come with it. The trailer may have a bottom mount, also called and underslung, coupler. If so I have included a link to a help article that covers how to set up the system for an bottom mount coupler.
This system is rated for 600 to 1,200 pounds tongue weight. If you weigh the tongue and it is over 1,200 pounds then the next step up would be # RP66130 rated for 800 to 1,500 pounds tongue weight. However, you would be limited to 1,400 pounds because of the alternate chain hangers.
For the higher capacity system you would also need to add a shank. I have included a link to the Reese shanks.
For either system you will need a properly sized ball. For the 1,200 pound system use # 19286. For the higher capacity system use # C40086.
