Question:

Hello, I have a 2013 LS Tahoe, 4wd, 5.3lt. I am towing around 5-6k lbs Travel Trailer. I ordered a tran cooler from you guys a couple of years ago and it worked out good for a cool down when I am cruising but I need something to help cool it down when I am climbing up grades. Normal cruising the temp stays around 205 when I climb up a steep grade it gets upwards of 245 going 30 MPH, then cools down after I get back up to speed. So I think an extra tran cooler and engine oil cooler with a fan will help the high temps when I am not getting the air flow. I have plenty of room to mount another cooler but my question is are there kits for the electric part of the fan? Not sure where to hook up the electric for the fan? I was looking at part# D15230. Also if I mount the tran/engine cooler with a fan in front of the radiator will it affect the radiator fans since they are behind the radiator, it would almost be like they are blowing against each other?

To install and use the part # D15230 on your 2013 Chevy Tahoe will require the part # D15752 for the oil cooler portion and then for wiring the fan you would also need the Derale Remote Mounting Kit, part # D13023. This kit will use an in-line thermostat that will turn on the fan at 180 degrees and automatically turn off the fan at 165 degrees.

You would need the fan to spin the same direction as the fan for your radiator so the two wouldn't be working against each other. To switch the direction of the fan you would just need to change the power and ground wires.
