I will be purchasing a 5th wheel trailer that comes with the hitch. It is presently in a Chevy 1500HD with a 6 1/2foot bed. Will it fit a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with an 8foot bed? The hitch is a Reese 14K 3500 part # 30031,30037,30726. Thanx

To install a fifth wheel hitch in the bed of your 2008 Chevy Silverado all you need is a fifth wheel rail kit.
One route is to go with a universal kit like the part # RP30035 that has been confirmed as a fit for your truck. Or you can go with a custom install kit that will minimize drilling and install time like the part # RP50064-58. This would be the route I would recommend.
