Yes, you can use trailer wiring harness # 118244 on your 2003 Nissan Xterra with manual transmission. This harness is meant as a replacement for models that came with a factory 4-Way connector.
If your Xterra did not come with a factory 4-Way then to add one you would need a hardwire kit, # 119178KIT. I have linked the installation details and a video review for you.
