Weight Distribution System Recommendation for a Hyundai Santa Fe that Sags When Towing Trailer
Question:
Will Firestone Vehicle Suspension for the Hyundai Santa Fe, 2014 actually raise a hitch with trailer attached? Tongue weight of hitch is about 400lb and it lowers back of Santa Fe too much - bottoms out on dips.

For suspension sag from the weight of a trailer a better solution than suspension enhancement is a weight distribution system. A WD system will not only level the suspension of the tow vehicle, but it will also distribute some of the tongue weight of the trailer up to the front axle of the vehicle so that braking and handling is improved.
The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.
If your tongue weight is 400 lbs a system like the part # RP66540 which has a tongue weight range of 200-600 would be a great option.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
