Can a Roof Mounted Basket Support a Roof Top Tent

canl this cargo basket be used to support a Roof top tent? Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 49" x 40" x 6" - 150 lbs Code TH859XT

As long as the weight of the tent is within the 150 pound capacity of the Thule basket, # TH859XT, and the weight is evenly distributed I don't see why it couldn't support a roof top tent. The roof rack and vehicle roof will also need to be rated high enough for the roof top tent.
Rhino-Rack baskets # RMCB and # RMCB02 are rated for 165 pounds but again you are limited to the lowest rated component whether it be the vehicle roof, the roof rack, or the basket.
