Will Trailer Pin Box Hit Tailgate on 2015 Ram 2500 Short Bed with B&W Slider 5th Wheel Hitch

B&w companion slider for 2015 ram 2500 6.4 foot bed Is there a concern with RV contacting the tailgate with the trailers king pin box when hitch is in position furthest from cab?

On a 2015 Ram 2500 with 6-1/2 foot bed there could be the potential contact between the tailgate and the trailer pin box. But most pin boxes angle up at the rear so they would be higher up than the top of the tailgate.
If you had the really short bed, 5-1/2 feet, then the tailgate would have to come off.
