Ball Mount and Trailer Connector Adapter Recommendation for 2014 Mercedes GLK 350

I have a 2014 Mercedes GLK 350. It has a hitch with a 1 1/4inch receiver. I need a ball mount with a 2inch ball. I also need an electrical adaptor. There is 6 pin round Pollack plug installed. I need to go to a flat 4 pin receptor. I am going to pull a trailer with 2 jet skies. What do you suggest?

It is important to choose a ball mount with the correct rise or drop needed so you can tow your trailer level. You will want to measure your hitch height, as well as the height of your trailer's coupler. The difference between these two heights will let you know which drop or rise you will want. I have attached a help article on finding the correct ball mount.

You will also want to know the weight of the trailer you are towing. This is important to make sure you do not exceed the towing capacity of your vehicle, trailer hitch, ball mount, or other component of your towing setup. The ball mounts we offer for 1-1/4 inch receivers are rated for up to 2,000 pounds or up to 3,500 pounds. I have attached a link to all of our ball mounts that will fit your 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch receiver.

You will want to double check what diameter shaft hitch ball is used when ordering a ball mount. If the ball mount uses a hitch ball with a 3/4 inch shaft, I recommend the Tow Ready 2 Inch Diameter Hitch Ball # TR63822.

For a trailer connector adapter, I recommend the Hopkins Adapter 6-Pole Round to 4-Flat with Cover # 47305B. This adapter will plug into your 6-pin round connector at the rear of your vehicle and allow you to plug in your trailer's 4-way flat connector. It is not very common to find a 6-pin connector on a Mercedes, so I recommend double checking to make sure the 6-pin connector on your vehicle looks like it is the mating end to the # 47305B adapter. If it looks as though it won't fit, send me picture of the connector on your vehicle and we can work toward a solution for you.
