Weight Capacity of Surco # BT300 Spare Tire Mounted Bike Rack

Question:
I purchased a 3-bike rack for my 2005 RAV4, and have it installed. Brand = Surco OSI Spare Tire Bike Rack #BT300. How much weight can this rack and my RAV4 accommodate?

According to Surco, their # BT300 spare tire mounted bike rack can handle three bikes weighing up to 35 lbs apiece for a total capacity of 105 lbs. I'm not aware of any vehicle manufacturer having a stated capacity for their spare tire holder. We've never heard of a factory installed spare tire mount on a vehicle failing because a spare tire mount bike rack was used, the rack should work just fine for you.
