Question:
I just purchasaed a 2015 F250 6 3/4 box with the pre factory fifth wheel package. Do I need to install the RP30144 with slider or can I use the Reese non-slider. The ford dealer where I puchased the truck told me that I dont need the slider. Regards

You can use a sliding hitch like the Reese Elite Series # RP30144 to gain 10-inches of turning clearance. You do not want to install a fixed hitch in your truck unless you have a Sidewinder replacement pin box on your trailer.
Please have a look at the linked article for more. Sidewinders are made to replace specific pin box brands and models so you'll need to check for availability of one to replace your trailer pin box by using the included chart. Let's say your trailer has a Lippert 1621 pin box; in this case you can use Sidewinder # RP34FR. You can use the formula in the article to determine if you need a Sidewinder.
If a slider hitch is used with a Sidewinder pin box the hitch must always remain in its forward locked position.
