With a tow bar such as # 63180 you will have to have the toad lined up straight behind the RV to even attach it to the brackets on the toad. So the process of actually connecting the vehicle to the RV ensures that it is lined up straight.
On tow bars that have arms that move in and out you can line up less than perfectly and the arms will retract out once you start moving and the vehicle will be straight. It all depends on the tow bar you are using but they all have built in ways of making sure the vehicle is straight when being flat towed.
