Question:
Do you think its worth the extra $100 to go with the Thule TH9002PRO compared to the TH9002XT. Thanks

The way that Thule does part numbers is when there is a major change, a part will get an XT added to it, then PRO. So basically what we have here is TH9002XT, the previous generation, and # TH9002PRO, the newest generation. The XT is going to be going away once they are all sold and all that will be left is the PRO.
The PRO has advantages. I have the original design, before XT, and it is an awesome rack but is nothing compared to the PRO. Everything is upgraded and the PRO is the lightest of the 3 generations of the Raceway bike carriers. The levers for the cable adjustments are now covered and lockable on both sides as well.
Having this part of he bike rack covered and lockable will not only help keep debris out of the mechanism but also deters theft of the rack. The arms on the PRO are not only able to adjust independently up and down but can also be moved closer together to fit more bike styles.
The lighter weight, improved components and design, and the greater versatility to me are worth the extra money for the PRO, # TH9002PRO, over the XT.
