Recommended Trailer Hitch and Towing Accessories for 2001 Nissan Frontier

Hi, I have a 2001 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab and would like to choose a trailer hitch to install. I just dont know which one to choose. I would like to be able to haul a rental type of trailer for my next move and to be able to haul a few motorcycles as well. Any suggestions/pointers would be very helpful! Thanks!

Curt, Hidden Hitch and Draw-Tite all offer hitches for your Frontier.
All three hitches share a similar design and would install in the same manner. Due to the fact that the Curt # 13841 has a slightly higher rating (500 lb Tongue Weight/5000 lbs towing, versus 400 lb Tongue weight/4000 lbs towing) of the other two, as well as having a lower price, I'd recommend the Curt hitch. Curt makes a great product, so you won't sacrifice anything by going with the lower cost hitch. Keep in mind that the capacity of the hitch could be limited by the towing capacity of the vehicle. You'll need to abide by whichever capacity is lower.
To complete your towing set-up, you'll also need the following:
Trailer wiring harness, part # 118362
Ball mount, part # C45010
Locking hitch pin, part # e98882
Many rental trailers use adjustable couplers that are compatible with all three common trailer ball sizes (1-7/8, 2 or 2-5/16 inch diameter). Given the size and capacity of your truck, a 2 inch trailer ball like # 63845 would be ideal.
