Question:

Does the C11337 hitch for a 2012 Volvo C30 fit the R-Design model? It has a different bumper cover than the base models.

I spoke with my contact at Curt and he said that while they haven't tested hitch # C11337 on an R-Design C30 they also have not had any calls from customers or installers saying that it wouldn't fit. So based on that and the fact that the rear fascia, though different in appearance on the R-Design, isn't any lower than on the base models, the hitch should fit the R-Design just fine.

If you will be using the hitch for a bike rack or cargo carrier make sure the accessory is rated for use on a Class I hitch. For bike racks you are limited to 2 bikes at most. And Curt says that when using the hitch with a bike rack or cargo carrier you also have to use stabilization strap # 18050 per their warranty requirements.

If you plan on doing any towing the correct ball mount is # C45521. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # C59236.
