Sounds like you have been troubleshooting the wiring and have found that the problem is somewhere on the 2005 Nissan Frontier side. You said the right turn pin is not showing current when you check it out. The next place to check would be on the wire that is going into the connector. If you have no power going to the connector the problem lies upstream.
If you find that the connector is bad, I recommend replacing the OEM harness with part # 118267. This harness is designed to plug into the connectors that are located on the driver's side frame rail. I have attached a photo that shows what the connectors look like.
You will want to check your owner's manual and see if there are any fuses or relays associated with the tow package. You can also check the wiring for obvious signs of damage such as crimps or breaks. Check for corrosion on any of the connectors for the wiring.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
