Roof Mounted Ski Carrying Options for 2014 BMW X3

Ski carrier to fit a BMW x3, 2014?

If your 2014 BMW X3 has a bare roof, Rhino Rack offers some roof rack options. I'd recommend their Vortex Aero roof rack which is assembled using 49 inch crossbars # RRVA126B-2, # RRRLKVA roof rack feet and the # DK295 vehicle specific clamp kit.

If your roof has the flush mounted rails that run from front to back along the edge of the roof, Rhino Rack also has a system that'll work for you. The rack can be constructed of the following parts:

Vortex Aero Crossbar # RRVA126B-2
Leg kit to attach bars to rails, part # RRSX026

Once the bars are in place, you can use a ski carrier like the Thule SnowPack, part # TH7326 which can handle 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards. Rhino Rack also a ski/board carrier, part # RR576. The carrier isn't as easy to install or remove as the Thule model, but it's quite a bit less expensive.
