Question:

I have a 2014 BMW 328i and I only need to carry 1 carbon road bike. What is the best option for me? I want an easy to remove carrier because I dont want to drive around town with a bike carrier on the car when I am not actually carrying a bike.

First you will need a hitch if you don't have one already. For that you would want the Curt Hitch part # C11367. With a hitch mounted accessory like a bike rack Curt recommends the use of a stabilizer strap like part # 18050. I attached a review video for this product that shows how it installs and operates.

Since your bike has a carbon frame you will want to get a bike rack that only touches the wheels of the bikes. A very popular lightweight bike rack that would work well for these needs would be the Kuat Sherpa # SH12G. I attached a review video for more info on it to the right.
