Hi, The screws seem too short to screw into our mazda cx9 2011. Any suggestions? Thanks.

When you received your installation kit for installing the Rhino-Rack part # RR87MR, there should be a bag with different footplates in it.
You will want to use the footplates that have the larger hole in the middle of the footplate. This allows the screw to drop down a little further and you will be able to tighten the screws to the mounting points on your 2011 Mazda CX-9.
