Video Transcript for Curt Replacement Anti-Rattle Rubber Bumper for Channel-Style Adjustable Ball Mounts Review

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this Anti-Rattle Stopper for your Curt Channel Style Adjustable Ball Mounts. This is gonna be for their older style design where the anti-rattle stopper is actually located on the channel of your ball mount, rather than the back of the ball where it threads in. Let's check it out. Be sure to check out your ball mount before you pick this up because if yours has holes on the adjustable channel, then this is the one for you. If it doesn't have any holes though, and on the back of the ball there's a threaded hole, you're gonna need to pick up the other one.

This is the older style, but it can just go into any of these holes, depending on where we have our ball set and it'll just push into place and if you need to, you can kind of twist it to get it to pop in, until you've got it at your desired height and at this point, you'd attach the ball wherever you set that stopper at and you'd have a significantly reduced noise level whenever you're going down the road. The big thing here is just making sure you get the right one for the right ball mount. Curt is moving in the direction of the other style where it threads onto the back of the ball, so if you have an older one, you can make this work. But if you have one of those newer ones, then go with the newer design. But that'll do it for a look at this Anti-Rattle Stopper for some of your Adjustable Ball Mounts from Curt.

Thanks for watching.

the anti-rattle bumper work great helps the curt channel style ball mount hitch work much better. its good idea to keep a few new one on hand just to have them. hitch works great very heavy duty .

by:

Good replacement part. I actually added extra one to hitch base to prevent rattle and extra movement in the hitch head.

by:

While the bumper certainly works to dampen vibration, I'm replacing a bumper that failed after only a year of infrequent use. I bought several anticipating additional failures.

by:

Excellent service. Couldn't find this product anywhere else.

  • Can Anti-Rattle Rubber Insert be Used for 20K Curt Adjustable Shank for 2-1/2 inch Hitch Receiver
Yes it will! The Rubber Bumper # C45921 is a direct replacement for the Curt Adjustable Ball Mount # C45900 but the only differences between the shank that comes with that system and the Replacement Shank # C45917 that you referenced is the weight capacity and the size of the shank that fits into the hitch receiver. The ball mount kit # C45902 that the larger shank is a replacement for does come with an anti-rattle bolt that installs in one of those holes at the back-side but we have a...
