Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the 150 inch long replacement cables for your conventional ramp door spring, and it is for a quantity of two cables. Now this kit here will replace the cables on your conventional ramp door spring. That's on an eight foot wide enclosed trailer. This kit here is designed to fit the spring, part number 9500468, which we do sell separately on our website.
Now a few specs on the cables themselves. These are 150 inches long, one eighth inch diameter, and this kit does include everything shown here on the table, the two cables, the two set screw guards, and the two cable anchors with the pins and the cotter pins. Now, one warning I do wanna mention it is recommended that only individuals who have experienced winding torsion springs should install these products. So if you've not worked with a torsion spring suspension before then we highly recommend contacting a local garage door company to install this system. But that should do it for the review on the 150 inch long replacement cables for your conventional ramp door spring.

OEM quality
Easy to install kit for our trailer, worked well with replacement torsional spring and comes with all necessary items that you may need to get the job done. In our use case, the pins that came with the kit were a little too thin, so we found replacements to be more load bearing. It would be good to know the material properties and internal wire shape to calculate maximum load conditions as a function of angle. This would help optimize lift and provide an FOS for spring assembly. Overall, a good product, we'll see how it holds up to time and environment.

These cables were exactly as described and a better quality then the original set that came with the trailer. With the metal bushing at the door end will outlast the original plastic ones that wore out causing them to fail. The site was easy to navigate and the shipping was fast.

Cable looks fine, just as expected. etrailer has a wide variety of trailer parts and having access to them is great. "Back in the day" it was difficult to locate a place to buy some hard-to-find part until the internet and companies like etrailer. Cables fit perfectly. I called local shops to get these cables installed they wanted $80 an hour. I was able to install them myself in about one hour. This is the first time I've purchased from a etrailer. It more than likely will not be the last. From order time to receiving time was a bit lengthy, well worth the wait.
