Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this B&W Tow and Stow pintle hook with combo ball for your two-inch trailer hitch receiver. Now, this pintle hook and hitch ball combo is gonna let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. This shank slides into your two-inch trailer hitch receiver, and the pintle hook is going to connect your lunette ring couplers. And obviously, the hitch balls are gonna connect to your standard ball couplers. Now, using the pintle hook, the gross towing weight is gonna be 16,000 pounds.
With the two-inch ball, it's going to be 10,000 pounds. And with the 2-5/16-inch hitch ball, it's gonna be 16,000 pounds. This pintle hook does double as a hitch step as well. It has a rugged, built-in tread if you can see that right there. So you're gonna be able to use the pintle hook with both the two-inch and the 2-5/16-inch hitch balls, depending on the size of your lunette ring.
And so it's gonna be very easy to get this pintle hook out of the way. If you just wanna use the standard coupler, you're just gonna remove that clip and pin, and then that's going to flip open like that. And then, you'll just replace the pin and clip and that's going to keep that pintle hook in the upright position, locked in the upright position. So you're gonna have access to your ball with your standard coupler. And then, to change the ball out, you're just going to remove this pin and clip here.
And then, you're just going to turn it. That's going to allow you to go from the two-inch to the 2-5/16 inch. And then, I'm just gonna replace the pin and clip. So I'm locked into that 2-5/16-inch ball and ready to go with just a standard ball coupler. So that's how easy this is going to be to swap out.
We do have this collar here that is going to help prevent that lunette ring from causing further vibrations and noise and things like that. So that's a nice addition. So this adjustable height is going to let you tow trailers at different heights all with the same vehicle. And then, you'll just slide this platform up or down along the shank, and then secured in place with the included pins and clips as you can see right here. And so the maximum drop you're gonna get when you have it in this orientation is gonna be pretty close to 7-1/4 inches. And then, when you flip this over, the maximum rise is gonna be about 3-3/4 inches. And you're gonna get the incremental height adjustment of 1-1/2 inches. Now, to avoid the Tow and Stow from hitting steep driveways or curbs, we do recommend at least 11 inches of clearance between the ground and the lowest point of the drop hitch. Now, this does have a stowable design that's going to let you store the pintle hook and ball underneath your vehicle. You're just, again, going to remove these pins holding the platform in place on the shank, and then flip the platform underneath the hitch and then reinsert the pins and the clips to secure the platform for travel. So that's a really great addition that this has when you're not using it. You're not gonna have to worry about slamming your shins into the ball when you're walking behind your truck. Now, if you do want to lock down the adjustment pins on your Tow and Stow so no one can take your hitch apart or try to steal your trailer, B&W does also have a pin surround lock for the Tow and Stow hitches. You can find that on our website using item number BW82AR. Again, BW82AR. Pop that in the search field or our website. That will take you to that lock, and you can add that to your order. This is a durable steel construction with high-yield tubing that's gonna give you superior strength. And the balls do feature a dual-process chrome plating. It's gonna give you excellent rust resistance. And then, the black powder coated shank and platform are all corrosion resistant. And the solid steel, solid stainless steel pins rather, are gonna give you that sturdy, rustproof connection. Hitch pin and clip are sold separately to secure this into your trailer hitch receiver. Some measurements that I took before our time together, from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball, we're pretty close to 13-3/4 inches. And then, from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the shank about three inches. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
