Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Round Tube Slider - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs
part number: RP30075

Fifth-wheel trailer hitch provides excellent jaw-to-king-pin contact with a 2-jaw latching system. Non-binding, round-tube slider helps to eliminate clearance concerns during slow-speed turns. Rails and installation kit sold separately.

Features:

  • 2-Jaw locking system provides more jaw-to-king-pin contact than slide-bar models
    • Less rattle
    • Greater security
  • Round-tube slider provides clearance required for your short-bed pickup to turn safely at slow speeds
    • Prevents trailer from hitting the cab of your pickup during sharp, slow-speed turns
    • Inhibits binding and provides smooth operation
  • 4-Way pivoting head eases hookup on unlevel ground
  • 3" Height adjustment
  • Wide stance offers excellent stability
  • Black powder coat finish resists corrosion
  • Locking handle has cushioned grip
  • Above-bed rails and mounting kit sold separately
    • Fits Curt, Valley, Draw-Tite, Hidden-Hitch and Reese base rails
    • Cut installation time in half by using a vehicle-specific bracket kit instead of the universal kit

Specs:

  • Gross towing weight: 16,000 lbs
  • Vertical load limit: 4,000 lbs
  • Installed hitch height (including rails): 15" - 18"
  • Travel: 11" front to back
  • 5-Year limited warranty

Note: This fifth-wheel trailer hitch will not fit pickups with beds shorter than 6'. It also will not fit trucks with flareside/stepside bed. A minimum 13" extended trailer pin box is recommended. If using a slider, hitch will not adjust to lowest height setting.

Reese Double Jaw

Secure, 2-Piece Jaw

Unlike the more economical slide-bar models, the rounded, 2-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.

Round-Tube Slider

Most often used on trucks with 6' beds, this roller helps to eliminate clearance problems during slow-speed turns. When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, at slow speeds you can use a roller to slide the fifth-wheel hitch (and the trailer) toward your truck's tailgate and past the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less-restricted turning.

It works great

by: Earl06/05/2019

Easy to remove and re-install.
The
down side is the above bed box vs the rail system adds an extra height which elevates the nose of our 38 foot 5th wheel TH above level for hauling.

another point you should know if you do purchase this item make sure that you inspect the hardware carefully - really carefully !

the lock handles x 2 times had slag in the threads.
with the assistance of etrailer Reese sent me a replacement set which were worse than the first ones. Reese then paid me to get the threads cleaned out.

2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty

We ordered this for our 2016 Ford F-350. The part comes unassembled, but with instructions that are easy to follow. I did have to adjust after assembly to fit our truck properly. ( The instructions state you may have to adjust ). If you get this I will recommend that you get the wrench, it would have made the adjustments easier. My hitch dropped right in the slots and pinned right in place. NOTE: the pins for the hitch are not included, so order them if you do not have them. The adapter does not rest on the bed, only on the FORD under bed adapter.

2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty

This was the perfect fit for a 2019 F250. Our other truck was in the shop and we needed to haul the toy hauler with our new truck. etrailer customer service was great because we needed this next day shipping to complete our camping trip. The F250 is a short bed and no slider hitch but there was still plenty of clearance to the cab.

2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty

The adapter came as expected. It went together real fast. Keep everything loose when you insert same in the vehicle. You will have to adjust the four points, that is the nature of the beast. After the adjustment, the adapter fit fine. My Reese 16,000 hitch fit just fine.

Ford F-350 Super Duty

My new F350 didn't have the under bed 5th wheel mount and I didn't want to use the rails that bolt across the bed. I bought the Reese under bed parts, Reese adapter, new legs for the hitch and a bed mat and installed it myself. I drilled through the dimples in the bed, bolted in the under bed parts and everything lined up nice. Since I went from a short bed to a long bed I didn't need the slider legs so I replaced them with fixed legs. When the hitch and adapter are out of the bed, nothing is in the way on the floor. I like it.

2015 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Just installed the Reese Rail Adapter in my 2015 Ford F-350. It fits the factory 5th wheel prep package perfectly. The only issue I had was with fine tuning the latches (trial and error) but even so, this was a breeze to install (15-20 minutes). As always the shipping is FAST! I had the kit at my door two days after ordering.

Great product, great price. Easy to assemble, and fit right into my factory Ford puck system as it should. Simplified my delima of what to do with my hitch after trading in my old truck, and refitting to my new truck.

by: Jeromi K03/30/2012

It was hard to tell from the pictures but this item uses the handles to rotate the locking clevis and is as easily removable as the OEM equipment! The fit was fantastic and assembly only took about 15 minutes. Big savings being able to continue using my Pro series 15k.

I installed this adapter in my 2019 F-350 Super Duty Long bed. I won’t kid you, you need some patience when it comes to adjusting it to fit your truck. Each mount hole seemed to be at a different height thanks to Ford. But it took all of about 20 mins to assemble and install. Fits great once you set the depth adjustments. Will see how it does towing this afternoon.

2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Reese's Under Rail Adapter RP30156 is very easy to assemble and to install. Instructions provided are well written reducing the assemble time to les than five minutes. Installation took longer due to the snug fit between the trucks underbed rails and the adapter's pins.

Etrailer's delivery time is outstanding as well as their customer support team. They were very helpful in identifying the correct adapter match.

I purchased a Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter for Standard 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches to adapt my old 5th wheel hitch to my new Ford truck. It arrived promptly after ordering, assembled easily, and works great. It was a great reasonably priced alternative to a $1000+ new hitch made for the under bed rail system in the new Ford trucks. Very pleased with the product and with etrailer.

Ordered this for my 2017 F-350 which has the Ford 5th wheel prep package. It assembles easy with clear instructions and tips for mounting. Sturdy, strong and durable. Easy to remove when not towing. Great product from the great people at etrailer. Saved me the money to replace my entire 5th wheel hitch. I kept my Reese 16K hitch which mounts to this adapter. Thanks etrailer!!!

2014 Jeep Patriot

I bought this in preparation of receiving my 2022 F350. I haven't got the truck yet. I believe this is a well made product to adapt my current B&W Patriot fifth wheel slider hitch that I'm taking our of my 2014 F250 which uses rails, to the Ford puck system. From everything I've read this will do the job. It definitely is sturdy and heavy. I will have to consider the additional weight in my payload weight calculations, but the F350 should handle it.

Took
about 15 minutes to assembly, then it took about 15 more minutes to adjust . My husky 5th wheel slider fit perfect .Thank you so much.

Do you have a question about this Fifth Wheel Hitch?

  • Using Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch on 2010 F-150 with 6-1/2 Food Bed
  • We recommend using a fifth wheel hitch with a slider on any truck bed that measures between 6-1/2 and 8 feet in length. Failure to do so can result in the front of the trailer loft striking the rear of the truck cab during sharp turns and causing damage. If the fifth wheel is equipped with a Sidewinder extended pin box, a standard non-sliding hitch may be used. A Sidewinder will relocate the pivot point from the hitch-king pin connection 22 inches rearward to the point where the pin box

To me a standard bed is an 8 foot bed. That would mean you would need the fixed version, # RP30047. But if your bed is 6-3/4 feet long, you would need a slider. The slider that offers the most travel and most clearance for making tight turns is the round tube slider found with

For a similar auto slider that fits directly to your rail kit the Demco Hijacker part # DM8550024 would work great and unlike the Superglide
