I was having a tough time finding the replacement parts locally, so I looked on etralier.com's site. They not only had the exact parts I needed, but they delivered the parts to my home within two days of placing the order and I even placed the order on a Sunday afternoon. The customer service followup and communication was excellent. I will definitely be using etrailer.com again.
A wheel cylinder is a wheel cylinder, this review is about the company that sold me the wheel cylinder. I had trouble finding a replacement locally and just happened upon etrailer via google. I'm always apprehensive when doing business with a company online, especially ones that I've never dealt with before. Let me tell you, I worried a lot about nothing. My transaction with etrailer.com was outstanding. The part look up, ordering process, shipping time and communications were all 100%+ I highly recommend this merchant. In fact off to buy some more parts from them right now :)
These are exact oem replacements. I called the manufacturer of my tow dolly to order the parts and was told they do not stock these parts. I contacted etrailer and within minutes had both right and left parts on the way. Above and beyond for the customer.
Had a hard time finding part numbers for these brake cylinders. Shorelandr was little help but ETrailer verified what I thought I needed and in fact they installed fine.

Wow. Well I sold the boat and trailer this spring, however, all I can say is the brake cylinders were exact replacement parts and work fine.Thank you.
The brakes were "supposed" to be in working order when I bought the trailer, but I found that both wheel cylinders were rusted and frozen. These new wheel cylinders were an exact fit for my Venture boat trailer, which made for a nice easy installation!! I added a bit of thread anti-seize to the threads of the bolts, brake line, and bleeder threads to ensure that corrosion doesn't make them impossible to loosen.
(Suggestion: When buying a used boat trailer, bring a floor jack and test the brakes before you buy!!)
I live in BC Canada and spent weeks looking for trailer brake parts, what I thought was going to be a quick and easy job turned into a nightmare. After trying many auto shops I finally found a wheel cylinder that looked like what I needed, except the brake line was too small and wouldn't fit. I then bought adapters...that didn't fit either! I searched online forums to get ideas on where to find parts and all I found was a common message..."if you live in Canada, good luck!"
By this point I have a tandem boat trailer & boat, just purchased by the way, on blocks with no brakes and looks like I'll be replacing everything and spending a lot of money as the only option.
Last Wednesday night I was searching websites and came across etrailer.com. I was shocked to see they had what I needed, I ordered 4 replacement cylinders and the next morning received a confirmation email that my order had been shipped. There was hope after all. On Monday early afternoon...they had arrived and they were the RIGHT PARTS!!! Everything went back together with no problems. I also received a followup email from George saying that he had been notified I received the parts.

Our mechanical staff decided to replace the wheel cylinders rather than the complete assemblies. The cylinders are nice quality at least as good as OEM. They arrived well packed and a day before expected. The staff at etrailer.com were great from start to finish. George J was helpful with the placement of the order and letting me know through emails on the progress of the order. When it comes to getting invoices for our finance department, one call to Preston M. and I have then in my email before I even hang up the phone! It is an absolute pleasure doing business with etrailer.com, so many businesses I do business with throughout the day don't have their level of customer service anymore!
both the replacement wheel cylinders and the brake actuator fit perfectly and function very well, just like new.
Thought part would be cast iron like the old one. Not sure what material it's made of. No instructions on recommended torque for brake line nut and bleeder. It matches old one and does fit into backing plate. Will see what happens

i forgot the old ones in very rusty cond. I have yet to install so need to .ocal source new bolts and could have saved time if ordering from you.

Parts fit fine, however one was missing the bleeder screw. It looked as though it had been installed and taken back off.
Not really ideal, though I had a new bleeder that fit. Also the other one had a 10 mm nut on the bleeder so I changed it as well so I would have all the same bleeders and wouldn't need 2 wrenches to bleed brakes.
The other pair had the plunger rods with them too. Which was nice, I reused the other two from the old cylinders.
All in all they are fine, and price was good. Oh, and these parts are aluminum, old ones were cast iron. I guess I wish the new ones were too.
We shall see how they hold up.

Fits and works well. Odd that the right side cylinder did not come with rod yet costs $8 more than left.
I had to purchase this wheel cylinder to replace one on a complete brake assembly I had purchased a week earlier. I stripped the threads on the first trying to install the brake line. Two issues. 1. Paint in the threads of the one on the complete brake assembly and 2. For whatever reason, my brake line fittings were ever so slightly too large for the cylinder threads. One had gone on properly but the other three would not. So I used a 3/8-24 tap to clean the paint out, finger tight only, on the others, then used a 3/8-24 die to run over the threads on my fittings, this required the handle and a wrench. All went together as designed. Not sure why my fittings were too large, all were 3/8-24 thread, but they were and with out the tap and die there was no way. Might want to keep this in mind before you start your project, have a tap and die handy.

A year later every thing is intact and fully operational. Just be aware of the paint in the wheel cylinder threads And the necessity to clean it out if the occasion arises.

All parts for boat trailer brake repair (master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and brake pushrod) were exact replacements and fit perfectly, solving my braking issues. Paid for expedited shipping and parts were delivered in two days as promised. I'm very pleased with etrailer!

Wheel cylinders were a perfect fit. Replacement was super easy except for the dang stiff brake line that absolutely DID NOT want to cooperate but that was no fault of the cylinders. I asked for priority mail and received the package 3 days before I expected. Now if I can just stop ads for similar products from loading on nearly every page I view. Not your fault either. Sorry didn't think about pics until I was putting up my tools.
