Best 2016 Honda Odyssey Power Steering Coolers

I bought the PS cooler for my Honda Odyssey so I could tow a trailer without voiding the warranty. While towing, you are usually required to turn off your overdrive. This makes the engine spin a little faster and increase the heat of the PS fluid. I was able to tow a small 4x8 uhaul trailer from Denver to San Diego without any problems. I also installed a "plate/ fin" transmission cooler from the 8000 series I believe. Towing a trailer can really add a lot of heat to your trans so this is a must too. I really must say I like the videos you post on YouTube to help installation. I watched them to the point I had them memorized! It's a tricky and tight job but something a good backyard mechanic can handle. I also bought my trailer hitch from Etrailer. Everything worked perfectly. One suggestion is to buy two packages of the trans cooler hose because it can be tough to find out in town if you need a little more. I highly recommend this setup and Etrailer is great to deal with.

Installed today on 2007 Honda Odyssey. Went OK, not great. Removed top panel, bottom splash guard, and grill, but left bumper and bumper cover on and that seemed to work just fine and saved me some time. These zip rods are a pain and it only came with 2? Needs at least 3. Its square. How are just two suppose to secure this thing sufficiently? I had to add my own regular zip ties. But, even worse, the kit doesn't come with enough hose. I know its a universal kit, but how much would it raise the price to include a couple extra feet of line? Now, I have to go find some more line at a local store and pay the brick and mortar premium. The factory line from the ps res isn't long enough to bend 180 and run back out to this cooler. disappointing, but really not the fault of the product I guess since its a universal kit. Now, for the real test- towing to the max 3500lbs for a two month, 4000 miles road trip. if I still have a working ps pump after that, I will give it the 5 stars.

So far so good. Just installed the cooler a couple days ago getting ready for a move trailing a full load for 1000mi. Install guide and descriptions are very generic and therefore require a bit forethought and pre-work. Will see how the product will hold up in the long run. Shipping and transactions with etrailer have been excellent once again.

Everything you need is in the box, good product quality (paint and material finish condition), easy to install. With only two mounting points, this cooler rocked a bit and could potentially touch the radiator fins on my vehicle. I used some additional foam along the top and bottom edges to ensure it was securely mounted and to avoid hard contact with the radiator.
