Really nice trailer wiring adapter. Very easy install. Takes about 30 minutes with all the tools needed. Drill, 7/64 bit for pilot holes to mount the bracket, flat blade screwdriver and 11/32 nut driver and two #10 self tapping metal screws with locking split washers and a couple zip ties to tidy up the wiring harness.

I looked at so many options before deciding on the B&W hitch, but I have no regrets buying it. There is nothing that my car is suitable for towing that this thing can’t accommodate. I even use it on the front hitch of my mower to move trailers around the yard! Adjusts very easily and stows nicely (though on my Ford Edge it rides lower than I like when stowed).

7 pin connector separated from cable. I was expecting that "Molded Cable" meant that the connector was fused to the cable insulation but instead, the two separated almost immediately after I installed it. It still works fine as the wires are connected securely inside the connector but with the outer covering pulled out like this, I don't think it will last very long.

This adapter really cleaned up the installation and connected directly to the wiring harness. Maybe added an additional 20 mins to install this adapter but totally worth the time and money.

II use it on my towed vehicle behind the motor home. It allows me to take motor home power to a trickle charger in the towed vehicle and connect to the towed vehicle wiring. The four prong receptacle provides outlet to be used if there is ever in need for a four prong fitting good.

ETrailer had exactly what I wanted at a fair price. Website was easy to navigate and purchasing was simple. Shipping was fast and I was kept notified right up to when I received my order.

Plugs in easily, shows that pins are producing voltage, and locks in place using the spring loaded door to the 7-pin.

The stuff not here

Very difficult to make the wiring connections, I was afraid I’d have problems on down the road so, I took it out of circuit and threw it away

The items I ordered will allow me to adapt my utility trailer for transporting my sea kayaks. Curt and Hopkins are both quality manufacturers. On a shipping note, the box arrived at the Post Office broken wide open. Your shipping folks need to wrap small, heavy, items in bubble wrap. Then stabilize it with foam peanuts. Just putting it in a box then stuffing the box with craft paper does not cut it. Items were not damaged so I am good to go.

I have now installed the following on my 2017 Wrangler: Brake light relay kit . Hopkins Towed vehicle Tail Light wiring kit. Blue Ox base plate. Blue Ox Patriot Portable RF Braking System. All of this has taken about 3 days of work spread out over a week or so. Overall it went well. Not too many surprises. Crawling around under a car at 71 is a bit of a strain but I'll get over it. I must say that Donna P. has been a wonderful source of great information and has stayed right on top of the process. eTrailer has been a great source for this project. I would recommend you all with no hesitation.

Installed the Hopkins muti-tow 7, 5, and 4 way flat connector this morning. I ripped the original connector that was attached to the bottom of the hitch receiver off when I was 4-wheeling into the Doll House campgrounds in the Maze District of Canyonlands a month ago. So, I cut a hole in the bumper and mounted the new Hopkins connector, cut off the old broken connector mounting bracket, and connected the factory wiring to the new Hopkins device. Hopkins product installed easily, looks great, is now out of the way, and has the flexibility of multiple trailer connectors when required. I am pleased with the product. Attached is a photo.

Exactly what we had been looking for. Now I can hook up multiple trailers with different connectors and all the electrics on each trailer works. I mounted mine directly to the receiver hitch frame. The biggest challenge for us was routing the backup wire from the taillight housing, through the body of the truck to the connector. the rest went together fairly easily. Seems to be pretty solid and looks much better than the loose pigtail connector it replaced.

We had been having trouble with our other adapters, no brakes or intermittent brakes. This adapter fits better than any of the others ever have, great connection and is holding tight. I will be picking up some more of these. The only downside to me was they came on the value shipping which is rather delayed for us and I would rather pay to get it here more quickly. I was needing it and it was several days getting here. We ship a lot and I know shipping directly with USPS goes faster than that and is not expensive.

Added the gooseneck trailer plug in bed and I wanted to be compatible with new and old style plugs. Adapor worked great.

Well I wasn't able to use this as there was no good place to install on my car without it practically dragging. Not a product problem at all. I tried to return and customer service was fast and super helpful... unfortunately return shipping would eat up any refund. So.. I get to keep it. good quality and product. Very happy with it and wish I could use it. Will keep it for sometime in the future when of course I will need it.

I bought this socket for my 2006 Volvo Xc90 to wire in the 4-Pole harness I also purchased from etrailer. Already had a few 7 Blade to 4-Pole adapters from my previous vehicle, and wanted the option of adding a trailer brake wire for a small camper later on so that was the main reason for the purchase. It also went very well with the Hidden Hitch I had already installed, bracket mounted right up to the existing tabs on the hitch. Super quick and easy install, as all of my etrailer purchases have been. Looks great on the truck, and functions great with the 180 Degree cover.

Arrived quickly. I didn’t need to wire the extra lead to my reverse lights because my trailer doesn’t have surge brakes or backup lights. Simply plug and play.

Perfect for converting 4 wire Ford Expedition trailer harness and boat trailer to 5 wire. The Expedition had a backup wire run to the area of the 4 wire plug so made the conversion easy.

Works, exact fit, high quality, coils tight so max of about 3.5’ perfect! Heavy duty wiring, great waterproof connections.

Needed a longer connector for my vehicles. Both have 7 way plugs, but I use a trailer with a 4 flat plug. The coiled adapter works great for both of the vehicles. Very good product if you need some extra length and the fact that it has the coils makes for a better appearance.

My '92 GMC Sierra had a 6-pin trailer harness connector and I'm going to be pulling a pop-up camper in a few weeks that has a 7-pin connector. I originally ordered a 47435 6-Pole to 7-Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter. After thinking about it for a day I changed my mind and ordered a HM48470 Hopkins Endurance Multi-tow 7-way, 5 & 4-wire Flat Connector to mount in the bumper and a HM47570 Hopkins Endurance Multi-tow Connect Adapter - 7-way To 6-way, 5-way and 4-way. The HM48470 will allow me to pull the pop-up as well as giving me the 4-wire flat connector that I need for my boat trailer. I bought the HM47570 adapter just to cover all the trailer wiring needs I might run into. I really like the fact that the 47570 adapter has the quick change plug to cover both wiring arrangements for 6-pin trailer connectors. I placed the original order Saturday evening and the second order Sunday afternoon. Monday morning, I called etrailer.com to try to cancel the first order and was told that both orders were already boxed and on the way the shipper. I had no idea that they had people there to pull and box orders on the weekend. I asked about returning the first order when it arrived and was told by Helen M that it would be no problem at all. I have been extremely pleased with my purchase experience with etrailer.com. I needed an adapter for my electrical towing harness so the that I could use a 5-Way connector on my 7-WAY plug. On line, I found and ordered Item No. HM47570 "HOPKINS ENDURANCE MULTI-TOW CONNECTOR ADAPTER - 7-WAY to 6-WAY, 5-WAY or 4-WAY." When I received the product, I was really stoked, it was exactly what I needed and what I had been looking for! I tried it on for "size" as you might say and it's going to work like a charm. I will send some photos later when I'm done with the installation! No time right now. . this coming weekend! Photo 1&2 my connector; Photo 3&4 the new HM47570; Photo 5,6,&8 the light bar I wanted to install and the completed project. Thanks a bunch!

It's sometimes difficult to understand what we need because what we may call an "extension cable," may actually be labeled as a "wiring adapter" or "trailer connector." makes for a faster hook-up from Truck to trailer. What is outstanding is the plug lights, when connection is made.

fits the plug perfect....just got a goldwing used, haven't had a chance to ensure it (the bike) was wired correctly for a trailer. no fault of the product, just wish its wireing was a bit long due to the way the plug was intigrated into the underside of the tour trunk.

Works great! Took a few minutes to figure out the rv side and get it set up so the round RV part Correlated in the correct way to the standard four flat wiring. But it went smoothly.

Seemed like a good item to have in a pinch, so I have not used yet.

They have just what I needed and it arrived very quickly.

Bullet-proof connector, if not the most elegant. Used in my case for custom "adventurization" wiring on my 2007 BMW F800ST motorcycle, now just road tested this late summer - early fall 2017 on a three month, 18,000 mile loop out of Chicago through the Arctic & Pacific Northwest, including the Dempster & Dalton Highways. Had a custom wiring harness that had to be able to be removed in order to get at the engine, hence the need for the connectors. A few photos should be attached.

This is a product that I needed for my project, but was not easily found and available. etrailer.com not only had the product, but had it at a great price. Shipping was very fast and free for the amount I ordered. Overall, this was a great shopping experience. I made a bulk order of 16 as I am manufacturing trailers that are towed behind motorcycles. This product gives me the six conductors that I need in a very small package, which is great due to the size of motorcycles compared to cars or trucks. The only thing that could be improved with this product would be if they came with dust caps for each connector, or at least one for the vehicle side to prevent dust and moisture intrusion while the trailer is not in use. Keep up the excellent service and selection.
