The reason that the Trailair Rota-Flex 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC328330 is not compatible with the Curt Q Series 5th wheel hitches is that the head units on those hitches are spherical, which means they don't offer enough stability to be used with the Rota-Flex's cushioning. The same goes for the E-series.
You would need to use the Curt A-series like the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16140 which is compatible with the Trailair Rota-Flex 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC328330. view full answer...
Trailair Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC328492 for Lippert 1621 pin boxes will work the same hookup angles that your 5th wheel hitch is rated for which is to say as straight of an angle as you can get. The pin box needs to be able to ramp up the 5th wheel hitch so the king pin gets funneled into the hitch jaws. I advise using a great deal of caution and a spotter if there is any doubt about the angle of approach. view full answer...

The 5th Airborne pin boxes such as # 5AB-E510-710 will work to reduce chucking. It has a shock and air bag inside that will reduce the chucking and vertical movement though it will not completely eliminate chucking. The manufacturer estimates chucking will be reduced by up to 60 percent when compared to a regular pin box. That is a significant improvement.
As far as installation it is easy in that you will need to unbolt and remove the old pin box and bolt the new one in its place. This... view full answer...

You actually wouldn't remove the wedge normally because 5th wheel wedges are designed to prevent the king pin from pivoting in your hitch, which is what you need when using a sliding hitch.
Unfortunately, your Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550040 has specific directions to not use this hitch with any Sidewinder or Revolution pin box.
In your case, you'd actually need to use a different pin box or a different 5th wheel hitch. view full answer...
The reason you'd need the 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter Mounting Plate for MORryde Pin Boxes # MR37ZR is because in order to use a 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter like the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3100 you'd need to drill into your pin box to attach it which you wouldn't be able to because you'd damage the cushioning and may void your warranty.
This plate would take the place of your current king pin and will allow you to use a 5th wheel... view full answer...
The Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box, # GY66FR is a replacement pin box for the Lippert 1621 or 1621HD models. I think I follow what your question is and the answer is yes, there is allowable adjustment. When replacing the currently installed pin box on your 5th Wheel RV, you do not have to use the same bolt locations. view full answer...
5th wheel pin boxes like the Reese Revolution and other fixed-type pin boxes mount to a set of vertical wings at the front of the 5th wheel. These wings are attached to the trailer frame structure and provide multiple holes to allow the height of the pin box to be adjusted. This adjustment range is just a few inches but is often enough to allow for leveling the trailer in cases where it is nose high. In such a case moving the pin box to a higher position on the mounting wings will let the... view full answer...
Yes, you can use a fixed hitch with your 2022 Chevy Silverado's 6 3/4 foot bed, you will just need to change your pin box to a rotating pin box for superior clearance. I recommend using the Reese M5 hitch # RP26FR and the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret - 16,000 lbs item # RP61422. This pin box moves your 5th-Wheel trailer's pivot point back an extra 22" toward the rear of your tow vehicle so that you can easily make 90-degree turns, even with... view full answer...
Chucking and jarring while towing a 5th wheel trailer (or any trailer for that matter) is unavoidable because the trailer itself is not one piece with your vehicle. When your truck starts to move forward from a stop your trailer is still sitting static and so there will be a slight jolt; the same thing happens when you slow down. Since the front end of your trailer is connected to your truck, when your truck starts to slow down your trailer is still moving forward so it will give you a... view full answer...
The Sidewinder Fifth Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret, # RP61412, is designed to replace the pin box on a 5th wheel trailer. It is used on short bed, full size trucks when a slider 5th wheel hitch cannot offer enough clearance to safely make 90 degree turns.
When used with a standard 5th wheel trailer hitch, the Sidewinder provides 22 inches of clearance from the center of the king pin to the center of the turret. Each Sidewinder is pin box specific so you would need the manufacturer... view full answer...
Step 11 of the installation details (which are linked) for the Trailair Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC328492 state to:
Inflate the air bag with only enough air to raise the pin box to the ride height mark on the front of the shock absorber with the truck and trailer at rest.
Overinflating the air bag could cause it to burst and cause some serious injury to you or those around you. view full answer...
Yes, you can absolutely use a 5th wheel hitch with your 2020 Ram 2500 6-1/2' bed with RAM Boxes!
The only catch is, you're going to need to use a rotating pin box like the Reese Sidewinder # RP34FR. This pin box will allow your 5th wheel to rotate, and give your enough clearance to not interfere with your Ram Boxes.
For an installation kit, I recommend going with the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWRVK2602.

Thanks for all that info; the MORryde part number you gave me is designed to replace a Lippert 1716 pin box, so the correct part is Sidewinder # RP77FR.
Additionally, this set up will work great with the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3600 that fits your 2019 Ram 3500, though I definitely recommend Wedge # RP74FR.

Air ride pin boxes are cushioned and the Convert-A-Ball adapter # CAB-C5GX1216 is also cushioned. So the cushioning on each can work against each other and cause a stiff and unpleasant ride. The other thing is that this adapter requires drilling into the bottom of the pin box which could damage the internal parts of an air ride pin box.
Keep in mind that many 5th wheel trailer manufacturers will void the trailer warranty if using an adapter such as this. They put additional strain on... view full answer...
