The best situation I've got for you is the Carpod Cargo Bag for Vehicle Roofs # M2204. We used to have a roof protection pad that would sit under roof bags like this that would be a good alternative, but it's no longer available and it would have to be removed when you drive.
All of the awnings swing out away from the vehicle and don't cover the roof of the vehicle itself which is why an awning won't really work out either.

Hello Mb; you can attach your existing JetStream bars to your 2011 Subaru Forester rails using the TimberLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars # Y33TR. The one thing I would do is measure the crossbars you have now. Yakima recommends the 50" crossbars so if they're shorter they may not fit properly.
