Hey Adrian, I attached a link to an installer locater that you can use to find someone to install the Curt hitch part # C11031 on your 2009 Kia Rondo. Is that what you were asking about? view full answer...
Based on your manual indicating 7" brakes it is probably a 2,000 lb axle. That should be a 4-bolt brake flange on the axle as well. Try checking your axle tag to see if you can verify this. The capacity may be listed, or it can be found with the serial number. You will need the following parts to add brakes:
-Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 2,000-lb Axles - 7" - 5 on 4-1/2 # 8-257-5UC3
-Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 7" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - - 2,000- to 2,200-lbs... view full answer...
That is because you most likely have a model year 2007 Kia Rondo that happened to be built in the very end of 2006. There are no fits for 2006 Rondos because there wasn't a 2006 Rondo made in the US.
I can almost guarantee that you actually have a 2007 Rondo, especially considering that your vehicle was built in December of 2006. For a hitch you would then want the Curt hitch part # C11031. view full answer...
For a trailer hitch that fits your 2011 Kia Rondo we have the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36525. This is a custom fit Class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver. This hitch has a concealed cross tube to help maintain a factory look. It features a black powder coat finish and a limited lifetime warranty. view full answer...
There has been some issues with the green wire being too short to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56222 on the Kia Soul without splicing in extra wire. I do not believe you will have that issue with the Rondo because we have not had any complaints at all about the Rondo and the Curt harness.
However, I recommend to go with the Tekonsha brand harness part # 118431 for the 2009 Kia Rondo because the Tekonsha brand is more reliable and tends to last a bit longer.... view full answer...
Trailer hitch fits for the 2007, 2008 and 2009 model years of the Kia Rondo happen to be the same. Any of these model years can be fitted with a light-duty 1-1/4-inch Class I hitch and we have the available product # C11031 from Curt. All you need to add is the hitch ball, such as 1-7/8-inch # 19256 or 2-inch # 19258, along with ball mount # 3594. Choose the ball that matches your trailer's coupler size.
The hitch will install using the included hardware and basic hand tools. The only... view full answer...
The Kia Carens is not available in the United States so I checked the South Korean/Indonesian Thule fit guides to determine fit. The Carens is the same thing as the Kia Rondo we have here. For the Rondo you would use AeroBlade Edge rack # TH7602-TH7602 with fit kit # THKIT4036.
The Carens should be using Thule WingBar Edge 9592 and fit kit 4036 which would need to be purchased from a South Korean or Indonisian Thule dealer since we cannot get those parts.
The bar width is not adjustable.... view full answer...
All of the trailer hitches for the 2008 Kia Rondo are Class I hitches with 1-1/4 inch receivers. We will not have anything that you can use to raise your bike rack. What I recommend is a compatible bike rack that has a rise in the shank if your bike rack does not.
Class I trailer hitches can only carry a maximum of 2 bikes. For a compatible rack with a 3 inch rise in the shank you can use the Swagman Trailhead, # S63360.
If you are carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that... view full answer...
The trailer wiring harnesses that fit your 2007 Kia Rondo like the Tekonsha part # 118431 do not require an additional converter box as the only box needed comes with the kit.
This would work well with the Curt hitch part # C11031 that fits your 2007 Kia Rondo as well. view full answer...
The Rightline Gear Sport 3 Rooftop Cargo Bag # RL100S30 can attach to raised side rails like what you have on your 2009 Kia Rondo. We normally don't recommend having any weight on a vehicle sunroof directly so best option would be to have it behind the glass.
This measures 48" long x 40" wide x 19" tall for you to compare to the roof of your vehicle. view full answer...
Installation of hitch # C11031 on your 2009 Kia Rondo would go as follows.
1. Lower exhaust to ease installation.
2. Temporarily remove heat shield. Save heat shield and hardware for reinstallation.
3. Remove tie down hook and return to vehicle owner for reinstallation if hitch is ever removed.
4. Remove fasteners in the frame rails as shown above.
5. Raise hitch into position and install fasteners as shown.
6. Torque all M8 fasteners to 17 ft-lb and M10 fasteners to 36 ft-lb.
7. Reinstall... view full answer...
Yes, you can tow a trailer with your 2008 Kia Rondo. I found a copy of the owner's manual online and found the following towing capacities.
First, if the trailer does NOT have brakes models with the 2.4 or 2.7 liter motor can tow 1,000 pounds. If the trailer does have brakes then the 2.4 can tow 1,500 pounds and the 2.7 can tow 2,000 pounds.
The tongue weight capacity for the 2.4 liter is 150 pounds regardless of whether or not the trailer has brakes. And for the 2.7 liter it is 200 pounds.

The Fulton # FSTC1000301 can indeed be used on a 2x2 trailer frame. The tire mount is compatible with wheels that have 4 on 4 or 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt patterns on 10 inch or larger diameter wheels. I'll link you to an FAQ article that shows how to determine your wheel bolt pattern. view full answer...
We have many confirmed fits for trunk-mount 3-bike racks for your 2010 Kia Rondo and also for your 2015 Kia Forte sedan. I linked the two pages that show the racks that fit each car. The good news is that there are racks that are confirmed to fit on both.
Among the top rack choices that will fit both cars is the Thule Gateway Pro # TH78VR. This USA-made rack includes the integrated bike cable lock and offers a 35-lbs-per-bike weight rating. It is backed by Thule's limited lifetime warranty.

Check out the review video and installation instructions I attached for this product.
For carrying bikes that do not have horizontal top tubes we recommend you get a Thule Adapter Bar # TH982XT. This would help you carry your 2010 Norco road bike in a more stable, level fashion. Check out the review video and installation instructions that I attached... view full answer...
To use a plastic cargo box such as the Thule Force Medium # TH6356B that you referenced you will first need to install a roof rack on your 2007 Kia Rondo and the one I recommend is the Inno square bar system made of parts # INB107, # INTR and # INTR103. This rack is made for your flush rails. You can refer to the linked video for details on its design.
I recommend using an accessory folding step like # TE97FR from Telesteps which gives you easier access to your cargo items. The lightweight... view full answer...
For 205/60-16 tires the Thule CB12 tire chains # TH01221095 would be the ones you would need. They are a great set up chains at a good price. And for occasional use I do recommend them for your 2009 Kia Rondo.
If you could double check the tire size for your vehicle. I show the 2009 Rondo with different tire sizes than what you have listed. But if you do indeed have 205/60-16 these chains are an excellent option.

The proper draw bar for your Draw-Tite hitch, part # 24797 is in fact the draw bar you were looking at, part # 3594. This draw bar uses a 3/4 inch shank diameter ball, so if you need a 2 inch ball you should use part # 19258.
As for the second part of your question, this is actually something I just helped my grandfather-in-law with. He went with a mounting bracket, part # 18144. If you do not want to drill your hitch, I would not unless you have experience with precisely drilling metal,... view full answer...
To install a brake controller in your 2012 Kia Rondo you will need a Brake Controller Install Kit # ETBC7. The Hidden Hitch Pilot Brake Controller # 80550 will wire into the vehicle using this kit. Your Rondo needs to have a working 4-pole flat trailer connector in place; if it does not already have one you can use # 118431 from TowReady, which is a simple plug-and-play installation. This harness connects at your taillight assemblies.

The shipping weight of CE Smith ramp # CE26151PG is 18.83 pounds. We would put this item in a large box, given its length, and the box itself weighs roughly 2 pounds. I have linked a video review of this ramp for you.
We have other ramps available. I have included a link to them for you. view full answer...
