This is the best option for the EOS because it allows you to add a 4-flat connector without any cutting or splicing of the vehicles wiring. We've asked SeaSucker in the past about using their racks like the # 298-SX6000B you referenced in cold temperatures and they have told us that as long as the vacuum cups are room temperature when you install them on the vehicle you are fine. They need to be pliable to seal properly but once installed the cold weather is not an issue at all. I spoke with my contact at Curt about trailer hitch # 11765. He stated that when the hitch is installed the receiver tube, which will be the lowest point, will be about 1-3/4 inches to 2 inches below the bottom of the rear fascia. What you can do is park your 2004 Audi TT on level ground and measure up from the ground to a point that is about 2 inches below the rear fascia and that is where the bottom of the receiver will be. We have a hitch for the Quattro models of the 2004 Audi TT. For that you'd want the part # C11765. This has a towing capacity of 2,000 lbs which should easily tow a small trailer with your bike you mentioned but you need to verify that your vehicle has the needed towing capacity in the owners manual.
For trailer wiring you'd then want the pat # 119250KIT.
For a ball mount you'd then want the part # C45510, and hitch ball part # C40001 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.

The Curt stabilization strap # 18050 comes in two parts. The shorter part with the loop that fits around the bike carrier mast is 18 inches long overall from the end of the buckle to the end of the closed loop. There is only 1 trunk mount bike rack that will fit both a 2002 Audi TT convertible and a 2000 to 2014 BMW X5. It is the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top rack, # HRF2 or # HRF2-3 (for 3 bikes).
