Hello, everybody Clayton here at etrailer.com. Here in etrailer, we install, test, and review a lot of different products. So for you as a customer, make a more educated decision before your purchase. Today we're gonna be working on a 2012 Ram 1500. We're gonna be taking a look at and I'll be showing you how to install the Scrubblade Platinum Wiper Blades. Wiper blades are one of those things you don't really think about all the time.
You just replace them whenever they start chattering, whenever they get torn up. But really we're supposed to replace them about every six months. I know a lot of us don't, that's always a good idea because that's gonna be our first defense in seeing the road. It's gonna keep our eyes clear and our windshield clean as well. Now, with that being said, I really do like this Scrubblade.
We have a lot of great reviews on them over long-term. So you know they're gonna hold up well and be nice for a long time. What really separates the Scrubblade from your typical wiper is gonna be the fact it has dual blades. As you can see, there's two different surfaces that are gonna be contacting your windshield. Let's say we go through the mud or we got bugs or dirt on our windshield.
These little perforations are actually what scrapes all of that off of our windshield, giving us a nice clean view. Whenever you'd run normal wiper blades and you get some bugs on your windshield. You have to use quite a bit of wiper fluid. So this is not really gonna reduce your wiper fluid use but it's also gonna make your windshield a lot cleaner in the process. Our blades are going to be nano-graphite coated to help reduce on the chatter or any noise you might hear from your wipers, making it a lot more comfortable for day-to-day use.
One thing I really like is gonna be this beveled edge here. This is gonna keep our wipers from bouncing, whenever we're going down the highway. There's a lot of times air will get under here and create your wiper to actually bounce and make noise. Not only that, it is kind of irritating. So the wind is just gonna bounce off here and keep that wiper blade pushed down. And our wipers are gonna have pressure points built into them to keep them pressed down really tight to our windshield and ensure that they are doing their intended job. We always forget to replace our wiper blades until let's say the winter time, or it starts raining and they just start chattering a lot, making a lot of noise or the actual blade is gonna tear off. Just making your windshield a lot dirtier or not doing its job and leaving extra water. As you can see here on the passenger side, the blade is actually coming off of the actual arm. So, what this is going to do is it's gonna leave streaks of water, blocking our vision. So, we've gone over some of the features of our Scrubblades. We'll show you how easy they are to get installed. We'll lift up on your arms and we'll take our wiper. You just gonna pull it back. And every wiper is gonna be a little bit different, if they're not factory. Just kind of pull back on that. Sometimes it helps to rotate it like this and then push it down. And we'll just lift that out of place. And for our new Scrubblade, we're gonna open our cap here. We're gonna take our blade, slide the J-hook on our wiper arm, into the Scrubblade and we're just going to pull it till we hear a click. We hear that click and lock into place. We'll close our tab. We can test them out. And as you can see, we don't have that big streak of water. So now we're gonna get full vision of our windshield. And that's gonna do it for our look at and our installation of the Scrubblade Platinum Wiper Blades on our 2012 Ram 1500..
