Video Transcript for Install: ClearPlus Integrated Rear Window Wiper Blade on a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Clear plus frame style integrated rear wiper blades for your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. With our new wiper installed, you can see we have a much cleaner swipe on our rear window here. We don't have that same gap that we did before. So, this is going to clear away any of that road grime that's gotten kicked up onto our window. Of course, it's going to keep the rain off of that back window so we can have a clear view behind us.

Now you might notice that there's a little gap up here at the top. That's an anomaly with this particular Jeep Grand Cherokee. Our spoiler has seen better days and it's just hanging a little bit lower, so as our wiper comes up, it's just barely nicking that third brake light and it causes this gap here.It's been an issue for a while. It's caused that little gap to be there, but overall our wiper should do a great job of clearing away any of that rain as we go down the road normally. The frame is made of a heavy duty metal, so we know that it's going to be able to stand up to all kinds of different weather, rain, snow, sleet, anything like that.

And we'll have multiple pressure points so that helps it to conform to the different contours of our window, especially as it's making its path across that arc. And the blade itself, that rubber piece is coated so that we won't have to worry about any chattering or squeaking as it passes across the glass.This is a perfect example of when we would want to change out our rear wiper blade. You can see there's this whole section that our wiper blade just isn't even touching. So we've got now a streak that's blocking our field of view, plus the rever is coming off of our wiper blade flopping around back here. It's just not a good look.

So let's change this out. Now in our vehicle in particular, yours might be similar, you need to pull these two tabs out and then up. I'm going to let this actually tilt away. If you don't do that, then you won't get enough space to actually tilt this out and then just grab it and ease it off of the post and then we can just remove it.While we get our new wiper blade ready to go. It's a good idea to just gently set this back down on the glass so that it doesn't snap down accidentally and cause any damage to our rear window.

Our wiper blade is going to come with several different style of adapters so we can get it attached properly. The easiest way to figure out what is going to work for you is to look at your arm and then match that up with one of the ones on the diagram on the back of the packaging. Makes it nice because we have it handy here, so ours matches up with type A and that means that we'll be using adapter RA. Our adapter has RA printed on the bottom, so we'll know that's the one that we need.Now we can attach our adapter to the blade itself. There's a little peg on either side near the end where RA is printed, and that's going to match up with those two little hooks on the blade so we can push that down and then push the tabs in further up and it should snap into place like that. With our adapter attached, it's now time to get it onto our vehicle. So, we'll just bring that back up. Match up that peg with the little slot there. Should snap into place, and then we can push it down the rest of the way and place it gently back on our glass. Snap our little closure. Good to go.Overall, I think this wiper blade is going to be a great replacement for our old blade and it's also an easy piece of maintenance that we can do at home by ourselves without having to have the dealer do it for us.
