SumoSprings work to improve your vehicle's rear suspension. 2" lift spacers are included to accommodate your lifted Jeep. These springs will bear the brunt of the weight for your lighter loads while you are traveling, whether for work or for play, and they will help to absorb the bumps and shocks that can happen on rough roads. The springs work with Jeeps that tow, haul, or have other heavy rear equipment.

Safer Driving

Carrying cargo on rough roads can cause front-end sagging as your OEM suspension system compresses to accommodate it. Your vehicle can also sway if frequently under heavy loads, as well as bottom out, which wears your suspension down. If the weight isn't even, then it jeopardizes your ability to steer and brake. These springs reduce these problems by compressing accordingly with the weight of your cargo and helping support and distribute the weight. SumoSprings make driving heavier loads more comfortable for the long haul, and they give the control back to drivers when sway is minimized. The progressive load control works differently, depending on whether you are carrying a lighter load or a heavier load. If you are carrying a lighter load, then the springs will initially compress easily and smoothly. This will create a soft engagement for the springs and a much less bumpy ride for you. If you are carrying an extreme or heavy load, then the springs will help to support your vehicle's suspension by compressing up to 80 percent.

Durability

Made in the USA, these springs are constructed from durable microcellular urethane material, which withstand the elements. SumoSprings resist any damage caused by oils, road salts, and UV rays, so you don't have to worry about them failing to do their job while you are traveling on rough road conditions. They work in a variety of temperatures, from -25 F to as high as 200 F.

No-Drill Installation

The kit is designed to install easily and replace your factory bump stops. No drilling is necessary. The springs have the ability to operate in tight, closed-in spaces. They can expand and compress vertically without taking up any room on the sides. Unlike air springs or air bags, you don't need to maintain SumoSprings. The springs will never leak, and you don't need to run the tubing or monitor the air pressure.

Video Transcript for All About the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs-SS28UV

Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the SumoSprings solo line of custom helper springs. This is gonna come in a variety of different fits, and have different styles of spring. So let's check them out and talk about the differences. Now right away, this is going to be for the rear axle. You can see we've got one installed on our 4Runner today.

That's just one of many fits available, and it's a direct bolt on installation. Now with the rear axle, it's gonna help with a number of things. In any sort of towing applications where we've got a lot of tongue weight on the hitch, bringing the back end down, and the front end of the vehicle up, it's going to help return us to a more normal ride height. Now, unlike an airbag that's adjustable where you can tailor it to each load independently, this is going to be pretty much fixed, but it will provide a lot more support, especially compared to the factory bump stops. Now, this is just an example, because every vehicle fit's gonna be a little bit different, but just the overall height difference between the factory and the SumoSprings option is going to be pretty drastic.

So with these being so much larger, they're going to make contact with the axle a lot quicker, so we get quicker engagement and support. So we don't have all of this open air between the bump stop and the axle, where if we hit a bump with a heavy load, we feel all of this bouncing, or side to side, we don't feel as much sway, because this may contact a lot quicker, and provides that support when we need it. And with the SumoSprings, there are gonna be multiple different kinds. If you're looking at different options, you'll see a blue, a yellow, and a black one, and they are different. They really differ in the density.

Overall function and fit, it's gonna be pretty much the same. For example, on the 4Runner here, one of these black ones is available, but also a blue one. It's gonna be the same fit, but they offer different support. The blue one is going to be the lightest density, the black one is the medium density, and the yellow is the most extreme heavy density. That just means as you get more dense, it provides more support, and all of the weight capacities, depending on the kits, will vary a little bit, but as a general rule of thumb, you can go by that color scheme to find out whether you need the light, medium, or heavy duty option.

Now these feature a progressive spring rate, and what that means is the more they compress, the more they're going to push back and support, and try to bring the vehicle back to its normal driving position. So the initial first bit of compression is going to be a bit softer and easier to move. So for normal day-to-day driving when you have these installed, it isn't going to be as stiff. Then as we get into heavy loads and we start getting pretty extreme compression, it's going to work harder to push back to that normal state, and bring us back to a comfortable driving position. Now as far as the construction goes, it's going to be a microcellular urethane material, as opposed to something like a rubber material. Now the urethane's gonna be very heavy duty. It's gonna work in temperatures from negative 25 degrees Fahrenheit, all the way up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. So you can expect it to work in all sorts of weather conditions. And this material is going to resist all kinds of oil, road salt, and UV rays. So if it does make contact with the sun, it's not going to weather away, and any sort of road conditions, like road salt in the winter, isn't going to cause this to degrade over time. So whether you're looking for support side to side and limiting body roll in your vehicle, or you're looking for backend support for towing, or maybe just something heavy in the hitch like a cargo carrier, this is going to be a great way to do that. It's a maintenance-free solution, so you don't have to worry about maintaining air pressure in it like an airbag, although you don't get as much adjustability with it. I do think that trade-off is very much worth it, because once it's installed, you don't have to worry about it. The installation process is obviously going to vary depending on what kit you get, so do be sure to use our vehicle fit guide on our website to find the right kit for you and your vehicle. But that'll do it for our Look at This medium density SumoSprings solo line of air helper springs here at etrailer. Thanks for watching.
