Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Putco Optic 360 High Power LED Fog Lamp Bulbs, part number P250001W. Here we have a picture of our factory lights lighting up on our wall. On the left here, you see our new Putco light and on the right is our OE light. The Putco light is a much brighter white light and it's a more fanned out light where the factory one is more of a pencil beamed light. Here you see both of our lights installed, it's going to give you a nice, cool, white light. It's going to help promote driver awareness. They're a high-powered Cree LED light that's going to give more light than a standard halogen bulb.
It has an optic lens at the end and side matted diodes to ensure the light is emitted 360-degrees around the bulb. The body of the light is made out of a CNC machined billet aluminum to make it durable and rust proof. These are designed for 50,000-hours of life, with a low power consumption. To begin our install, we're going to start on the passenger side. We need to remove, there's 3 screws, they're T 10s torx, 1 there, 1 there, and 1 there, and then we can fold back our inner fender liner and access our bulb. Now you can see that's our fog lamp bulb right there, but on the top side there's a little tab, and we're going to press down the tab on top of the socket and we'll slide it back.
To remove the bulb, there's a clip on the top and the bottom, we're going to squeeze them together and slide the bulb out of the hole. You can see we have a sizable difference in our new bulb, and every place you see the little yellow tabs on there is where your LEDs are, so you're going to have 4 around the outside and 2 down the center. You can see on the backside here, on the top there's a little tang that sticks up, and that's where our plug's going to lock so we're going to put our plug side to the top as it was before. We'll just take this and slip it into position, and it'll snap in. You'll hear it click twice, that way we know it's locked into position, and then we'll take our plug with the tab to the top, the locking tab, slip it into position. Then we'll slip our fender liner back into place and we can reinstall our 3 screws. That's going to do it for our look at and install of the Putco Optic 360 High Power LED Fog Lamp Bulbs, part number P250001W on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500..
