The RetraxONE XR rolls open and closed smoothly on sealed ball-bearing rollers—no pull straps, snaps, or springs to mess with. You can stop and lock it anywhere along the rails, so if you’re hauling something long, you can keep part of the bed covered and part open. The manual pop-up handle makes it easy to control with one hand, and when you’re done, the cover slides back into a compact canister that takes up minimal space in the bed.

Secure Storage in Any Weather: Locking and Sealed System

When the cover is closed, your hauling gear stays out of sight and protected. The locking handle works with your tailgate to keep thieves and weather out, and the concealed lid keeps dirt and moisture away from the keyhole. Weather stripping and foam seals line every edge to block dust and water, while the overlapping top edge seals at the tailgate for extra protection. Two drain tubes route water out of the canister to keep it dry inside.

This hard cover is made from high-quality polycarbonate (Lexan) reinforced with 5/8" thick aluminum I-beams spaced every 4-3/4". It’s designed for impact resistance and holds up to 200 lbs of evenly distributed weight. The material handles temperatures from -50 °F to 200 °F without cracking or fading, and the matte black finish resists scratches and UV damage. The angled canister bottom saves space in the bed while keeping the cover shielded from the elements.

More Ways to Haul: Built-In Accessory T-Slots

The side rails of the RetraxONE XR include integrated T-slots for mounting T-slot-compatible racks and crossbars (sold separately). That means you can carry bikes, kayaks, or ladders above the bed without removing the cover. The Trax Rail System doesn’t interfere with how the cover moves, so you can open or close it even with a rack mounted on top.
