Rain, dust, and road grime can ruin the gear you keep in the bed. The Extang E-Series Soft Tonneau Cover uses a full perimeter rubber seal to block out water and keep the bed clean and dry. The vinyl grain top stretches tight over the lightweight aluminum frame to shed rainwater and protect against leaks, so your cargo stays secure through changing weather.
When you need to load something big, there’s no need to remove the cover. Just fold back the rear and center panels to open up two-thirds of the bed. You can even lift the tailgate panel by itself for quick access to smaller items. The tri-fold setup makes it simple to get to what you need without wrestling with the whole cover.
The E-Series comes fully assembled, so it’s ready to mount in minutes. Its spring-loaded clamps are built right into the cover—no loose hardware, tools, or drilling required. Once in place, the clamps lock down tight to keep the cover secure, and when you want the bed completely open, the whole thing lifts off with no rails left behind.
A heavy cover can be awkward to handle, but this one uses a lightweight aluminum frame that’s easy to lift yet strong enough for daily use. Heavy-duty support bows span across the bed for added rigidity, keeping the vinyl top from sagging and helping it hold its shape whether it’s open or closed.
The standard profile sits neatly on top of the bed rails for a tidy, factory-like fit. Its aerodynamic shape cuts down on wind drag, which can help improve gas mileage while giving the truck a smooth, finished look.

2 years in the cover still looks and fits great. No visable signs of wear. Great product.

That’s actually a pretty common thing with soft tonneau covers like this. When the temperature rises, the vinyl naturally expands, which can cause it to sag a bit in certain spots. It’s not a defect or anything like that, just the way the material reacts to heat. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done to prevent it, especially in hotter climates, but the cover will still do its job of protecting your truck bed. Speaking of which, what do you keep in your bed?

Thanks for your feedback Eric and we apologize that was your experience, The Extang E-series is designed with weather seals and generally does a good job keeping water out during normal rain and driving conditions but like most soft folding tonneau covers, it is not completely waterproof. Going through a car wash, especially one with high pressure sprays or brushes could cause water to seep in around the seals or tailgate area. Touchless washes are usually safer than brush style washes for soft covers like this.
