When the snow piles up or the road ices over, these pewag chains bite down hard. The grooved square links give extra grip compared to smooth or round ones, so your tires can claw through deep snow, ice, or packed slush without spinning. The ladder pattern keeps steady forward traction so you can climb grades or get moving again when things get slick.
You don’t have to worry about these chains wearing out too fast. Each link is built to work on both sides, so when one side starts to show wear, just flip them over. This reversible design lets you get more use out of every chain without sacrificing performance, giving you a dependable setup that holds up for the long haul.
Getting chains tight in the cold can be tough, but the built-in cams on this set make it simple. Once the chains are on, just twist the cams with the included tool to pull them snug around the tire. Add rubber adjusters (sold separately) for an even tighter hold, and you’ll be ready to roll without stopping to recheck tension every few miles.

These ladder chains are made from nickel manganese alloy steel that resists rust and wear better than standard carbon steel. The case-hardening process adds even more toughness, giving you links that can handle the constant grind of snow, salt, and ice. The hard outer layer protects from abrasion, while the inner core stays strong under pressure—built to handle rugged winter driving again and again.
If you’re running wide tires, these chains are made to match. They’re built for super-single and wide-base-rim tires in sizes from 19-1/2" to 22-1/2", giving you the traction you need on big rubber. Each set includes two chains, ready to deliver reliable bite and long-term durability when the snow starts stacking up.
These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Adam: Hi, everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Pewag Square Link Snow Tire Chains, with cam tensioners. So these chains are going to be designed for some of those more wide and thick tires that you may have, and it is going to give you an extremely aggressive grip. So it is kind of like a ladder patterned-style with these square links. They're going to wear evenly, and they're all made of the same material, which is a manganese nickel alloy steel.
So it's going to resist against that rust and corrosion and all of that salt that's on the road when there's snow. Also, it does have some cam tensioners. They're really, really easy to do and it just makes it very easy to install, because we all know if you're putting these on, you're either stuck or in some cold situations. So making it really easy to put these on is definitely a plus for me.So these square links are going to be about 5.6 mm in width. So it's going to be pretty big.
And with this cross chain pattern as well, it's going to give you about 32% more traction, compared to some of the other ones in this market. So these aren't the most aggressive chains that we get for these tires. We do have some V-Bar ones that are going to be a lot more aggressive. They're going to have more like daggers sticking out. They're going to grip a lot better, but they're going to wear a little bit more. Also, there's some twist links that we have.
It's not going to be as aggressive as our square links here, but they're going to ride a little bit smoother as well. But all of these are going to come in a pack of two. So if you have four wheel drive applications or all wheel drive, just go ahead and use our fit guide on our website, and just type in your tire size and just grab two pair.We do also recommend just grabbing one of these rubber tensioners. It does not come with your kit, but we do sell them here at etrailer.com, so it's the one stop shop.Well everyone, that's just about it for our look at the Pewag Square Link Snow Tire Chains, with cam tensioners.

These chains on my Jeep Rubicon are fantastic. I am a volunteer firefighter and EMT in the mountains of Colorado. I need to get to emergency incidents in the worst of weather. These chains make that possible.

Great! Best chains I have ever owned. Easy on easy off, full grip on and off-road. Use them regular off road on logging raids and hunting trails
