Features to know about

Built to Stay Strong and Light: Aluminum 17" x 7-1/2" Construction

This wheel keeps strength and weight in check. The aluminum build is durable, lightweight, and rustproof, so it won’t weigh your trailer down or corrode over time. At 17" diameter and 7-1/2" wide, it’s made for reliable performance while still looking sharp on the road.

Keeps Lug Nuts Locked In: Steel Inserts for a Secure Hold

No one wants to recheck lug nuts every trip. Steel inserts in the lug nut wells help keep the wheel firmly in place on the trailer hub. They prevent bolt holes from wearing down and eliminate the need for constant retightening, giving you confidence mile after mile.

Built for Real Loads: 1,850-lb Rating with DOT Compliance

With a load rating of 1,850 lbs, this wheel is ready to handle serious weight without compromise. It meets DOT specifications, so you can trust it’s up to standard for performance and safety on the highway or around town.

Made to Look Good and Last: Gunmetal Machined Finish with Clear Coat

The gunmetal gray aluminum finish gives a clean, modern look that stands out without being flashy. A clear coat on both front and back protects against scuffs and scratches, keeping it looking new even after heavy use or long seasons outdoors.

Fitment That’s Straightforward: 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern with +18mm Offset

The 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern makes fitment easy to match. It’s built with a +18mm offset, 2.65" pilot hole diameter, and uses 1/2"-20 wheel bolts—clear specs that make setup simple and ensure the right fit first time.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Review of Americana Trailer Tires and Wheels - Aluminum Wheel Only - AM74PR

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Americana 17 inch by seven and a half inch Gun Metal Gray Machine Contour Series Aluminum Trailer Wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this is an aluminum wheel. It's durable, lightweight, and rust proof. You can see it's a split five spoke design.

Uses a gun metal gray finish with a machine face on the spokes and on the lip. Gives a nice shine to the wheel. The split spoke design is unique and appealing. They do use a clear coat finish on the front and even on the back of the wheel to protect from scuffs and scratches. And this is a high quality wheel.

It does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications. A few measurements on this, we're gonna measure the width or the diameter and the width. The diameter is always measured inside the inside. So if we take our tape measure and if we go all the way across, there's your 17 inch diameter. The width, which is gonna be measured same way inside the inside or bead seat to bead seat, seven and a half inch width.

Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel, it's an odd number of lugs, like in this case, five. What you have to do is pick one of the holes, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes. But the trick is you measure from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whatever you measure to. On this one, it'll measure four and a half inches.

So that means it's a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. The offset on this wheel is gonna be a positive 18 millimeters. The wheel lug size it uses is half inch by 20, and the pilot hole diameter right here is 2.65 inches. Weight capacity on this wheel is 1,850 pounds. But that should do it for a look at this Americana 17 inch by seven and a half inch Gun Metal Gray Machine Contour Series Aluminum Trailer Wheel at the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern.
