You're swapping to slipper springs and want a setup that'll hold up. You weld the tall front hangers, set the rears, and the springs lock in without a fight. The axle sits right, and the trailer's ready to take a beating.

Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Terran axle, tandem axle hanger kit for two inch Slipper Springs, and it's got a three and three quarter inch tall front hanger set. So folks, again, slipper springs, not double eye springs. These fit two inch wide slipper springs for your tandem axle trailers. This kit's been built for strength, ideally for maybe utility cargo.
Maybe you have a heavy duty construction trailer build, those kind of things. And this is a weld on kit, so make sure you're a qualified welder or you trust yourself enough to do it to where it's gonna hold tight. If you don't and you don't know one, you can reach out to us here at etrailer.com on the homepage, we have a dealer locator tool and you can help locate someone or we can help you locate someone rather in your area. Now again, you're gonna have front hangers, rear hangers, and you're gonna have middle hangers. And of course, these two large equalizers in the middle.
So this is the middle set, and then these large wet bolts are gonna go through there, okay But they're also gonna go through this hanger, and that hanger has a square hole to hold that wet bolt tight, so it's not gonna be able to come back out once you get it tightened up and everything. So that's what that's there for. And then of course you have a castle nut and cotter pin for those two. You have your three and a half inch long shackle bolts with the matching nuts. And then of course you have one, two, three different hangers.
You have your front hangers, your middle hangers, and again the rear hanger and the rear hangs where that slipper is going to sit in there. And that's where it's gonna be sliding and everything whenever it's installed correctly. So if you're not sure on how to install these, make sure you get some assistance, whether it's locally or reach out to us and we can help you as well. This is probably gonna be for a five to 8,000 pound trailer, again with those two inch wide slipper springs. And as far as measurements on these hangers, the way you measure 'em is you wanna measure from the center of that hole to the top flat plane of the hangar.
So in this particular case center of that to the top, I get three and three quarter inches. Again, this is the front hanger. And then on this one from the top to the center, I get three and three eights. And that's gonna be your middle hanger, the one that goes around the equalizer. And then on this tallest one, that's your rear hanger where that slipper spring's gonna ride on, it's five and one 16 inches from the center to the top plane there. So you wanna match up your stuff as close as possible if you're replacing the kit and going with something like this. And again, make sure you're checking out the right dimensions for the whole setup and what length of springs and stuff would work with each individual hanger kit. So again, if you're just changing out something that maybe got bent or damaged or maybe it's rusting or upgrading, just match all up a hundred percent. You should be good. Otherwise, again, reach out to us if you need help assisting if you're setting up something new. That's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
