Heavy-duty ball coupler is designed to bolt directly onto your trailer. eZ-Latch ensures fast, easy, secure hookup and disconnect. Primed steel is sturdy and durable. Mounting bolts not included.
Features:
Specs:
This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic.

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer. And today, I'm in Boyden, Iowa at the Demco headquarters and manufacturing facility where we got to see Demco products made. These are all products that I handle on a daily basis when I'm doing flat tows, fifth wheels, or even couplers. They cover so many different towing products and they have plenty of experts here to break down some of their products a little bit more to give you some understanding, as well as allow me to ask those questions on products that I handle every day. Carter, when it comes to hookin' up to a trailer, a lot of times on older ones, I'm jammin' to get those pins in place and latch it and sometimes, you think it's latched and it's not. You guys have solved that problem.
Absolutely, yeah. We have our patented easy latch coupler. This is available at two inch and two and 5/16s, ranging anywhere from 7,000 pounds up to 25,000 pounds. The patent itself allows, I mean, basically usability for you to couple up, backing up underneath a ball coupler itself, getting it inline. Don't have to be precise by any means.
That's kind of all part of the design with the coupler itself. Once you get lined up, you back under there, back under the coupler itself. The ball clamp will slide outta the way and it will automatically latch. To unhook from that, basically, all you have to do, raise the handle up, the ball will fall outta the socket and you can pull away at that point in time. Nice thing about this is the handle itself does not need to be open when you couple up.
The design of that is actually more prone to stay closed. So, it's better if you do keep that in the closed position. Brad Now, no pinning up or anything No pinning up. Safety pin is not required with this design. So, once you're coupled up, that ball is not gonna come outta that socket unless it physically, destructively breaks the coupler itself.
And as far as applications, if this is someone, ya know, definitely for someone that's gonna be hooking up a lot or even if you don't, it's just peace of mind. But you have applications for a bunch of different trailers. Yes, yep, absolutely. That's kinda what we pride ourselves on. This one here is a channel mount design held in with four bolts. You also have an A-frame design here. So you can mount to any type of trailer tongue. Weld on, bolt on options are available with that. Like I said before, two inch into 5/16s with different capacities. And we have a few trailers at work that have the easy latch and I love it because many times, again, you're having to fight against it and when it's freezing cold out, it's awful. This never fights me. It's easy to use. It really is, well, it's easy. Ya know, play on words there, but. Carter Absolutely, yeah. You get peace of mind and that's the biggest thing. I'm guilty of trying to hook up a trailer thinking it's latched and pulled away and it pops off. You don't have that potential here. For sure, yeah. The nice thing with this, our patented design for the handle as well. Most coupler designs out there will have a bunch of different components with it, so you'll have to fight screws, bolts, nuts, things like that. This design, you do not have to adjust it. This handle actually does have a limited lifetime warranty on it so, if it does break, you can call us at Demco. You can call etrailer. We will cover that under warranty. It is very indestructible. If you do leave it up in the up position, you can back into it. It should have enough flexibility to maneuver outta the way and then fall back in place. One thing that we do not like to have happen, if you do have it in this up position, it does have potential to back up into the actual stem itself. At that point, if that does bend, we do recommend to replace that handle and stem assembly itself. With any towing, ya know, over time, it is what it is is kinda what a lot of people go with is like, "Oh, that's just the way we do it." But the easy latch is proof that there's still ways to make things better as you go down the road. You know, you get peace of mind. We got to see this manufactured today. Family owned company here in Iowa, made in the US, so great product. Carter, thank you for taking the time to show us the easy latch. Yeah, thanks for stopping by.
