Plug-and-play custom harness gets turn and brake signals on your towed car with no hardwiring or splicing, and no effect on your warranty. The built-in diodes protect your car from electrical feedback.
Features:
Notes:
A combined lighting system, or 2-wire system, uses the same light bulb to signal both braking and turning. (In other words, the car signals a turn by flashing the brake light.)
A separate lighting system, or 3-wire system, has the brake signal and the turn signal light up independently of each other. Typically, the turn signal is amber.
To keep the separate lighting system on your car functioning properly while you're flat towing, add a wiring converter (118158 - sold separately) and 2 additional diodes.
If the engine is off and your car's brake lights illuminate when you press the brake pedal, you need to install a brake light relay (RM-88400 - sold separately) with this kit. Without a relay, your car's brake signal will override the turn signal sent by the RV when you are slowing down to make a turn, creating a potentially dangerous situation. Other drivers will see that you're slowing down, but not that you're making a turn. With a brake light relay, you can signal both and travel safely.

The wiring is working just fine advice to all people installing make sure you planned your wiring Route before you install that way you will have no issues or chasing wires On something you did not see.
My wiring kit arrived today, it was three days late but no fault of E trailer. I watched the online video several times and was able to install it in about 2 hours. The hard parts were getting the taillight plugs to release. Then as I have no lift I had to do the routing laying on the garage floor. Since the Honda CR-V is pretty low slung it was definitely difficult, the fact that I am 76 and not as spry as I was some years ago didn’t make it any easier. Bottom line, once it was done and plugged into my motorhome it worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend the plug and tow to anyone who wants to tow behind a motor home.
The service in delivering the Hopkins custom tail light wiring kit for my 2007 Honda CRV was very good except E-trailer sent me kit for a 2007-2010 Saturn Outlook! I called customer service the next day around 8:00 AM and Erin , who took my call, was very friendly and helpful in making the correction. Within 1 hour by e-mail she had the return UPS label for the Saturn kit sent to me and about 4-5 hours later I had a notice from E-trailer that the correct kit had shipped. I've purchased several items from E-trailer over the past 8-9 years, including a similar kit for my 2017 Jeep Wrangler 2 months ago, and this is the first error I've encountered. E-trailer quickly corrects any errors on their part so I'll probably continue to be a customer with them.
Plug and play beats scotch locks everyday. 4 way ops simple 6pin to 4pin adapter, tested and operated successfully with only one follow up due to bulb failure.
Received the wiring kit on time and it was exactly what I wanted/expected. Thanks

Hi, did you install this yourself? If so, how difficult? Was it for a 2011 CRV?
I bought this item over a year ago, an it has done a great job, I would recommend, etrailer,on sales and products, and for a fair price
Took 15 min to install. Should have done it months ago. No more magnetic lights. (Added brake relay which tool longer but still pretty easy)
The wiring harness worked really well. Plug right into vehicle harness.
Easy to install, no cutting or splicing just plug it into the wire harness and it’s done. Have used it for a year now over 8000 miles towing without any issues.
Installed on my 2007 CRV. Really easy install. Plenty of excess wire. Have had for about a year. I have gone across the country a couple times. Still use as a part time driver and have had no issues. Would definitely purchase again.
This wiring harness worked just as it should have. It was delivered quickly and the video was a good help.
Nick was very helpful
Great replacement unit for 10 year old part. Quick delivery.
Product well-built and a complete kit was furnished. My brother-in-law and I put it on our 2010 Honda CRV. It took most of the day to do it. Instructions were clear but it just takes sometime. Took the car and the motorhome out for a test drive yesterday and everything was working great. I would tell my friends about the product and encourage them to buy it if they are in the market for this.
All the products I ordered arrived on time and were exactly what I needed. The online ordering was easy and fast. They followed up with me and updated my order status to let me know everything. Great pricing as well.
I installed the kit myself, and it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I even had a car lift, but getting the wires routed up to the front was still a real pain.
Easy to install Good iinstructions
Installed exactly as demonstrated.
A good experience working with you.
Having installed a diode kit on my previous toad. I wasn't looking forward to the business of cutting into the vehicle wiring harness and crimping in the 4 diodes and cramming all the wiring back into the taillight cavity and hoping I did it right.
While looking for videos on installing the kit I came across a video for installing the Hopkins kit.
I was able to return the do it yourself kit to etrailer without any problems and ordered the Hopkins kit.
It took longer to open up the panels in the cargo hatch than it did to hook up the preassembled kit. Probably the easiest chore in the making our 2007 Honda CRV into a towable vehicle. As close to plug and play as you can get .
The second one I have bought for 2 different vehicles easy install and works great
It's been a year and happy to report all is still working fine! No issues!
