Hard covers keep your gear safe, but they can be a hassle to remove. Soft covers are flexible but not as secure. The TruXedo Sentry bridges that gap. Its 3/4" thick aluminum slats are wrapped in 5-layer woven polyester and vinyl fabric, giving you the strength of a hard cover with the quick roll-up convenience of a soft one. You can roll it up in seconds, secure it with the built-in safety straps, and still see out your rear window. It even supports up to 400 lbs of evenly distributed weight when closed.

Rain, dust, and UV can ruin gear over time. The Sentry’s industrial-strength, leather-grain vinyl top layer is tested to withstand temperatures from -40 °F to 120 °F. Thick rubber weather seals keep out water and dust, and the all-black finish resists fading and grime. The bonded aluminum slats sit tight under the fabric so the cover rolls evenly and stays aligned through years of use.

Some covers break up the truck’s lines or add wind drag. The Sentry uses angled side rails that sit just 1/2" above the bed for a clean, flush profile. The 15-degree rail design reduces wind noise and helps improve aerodynamics. Because the rails mount inside the bed, your stake pockets stay free for racks and tie-downs.

When you close the tailgate, dual slam latches and automatic mid-bed latches lock the cover securely to the truck. The hard aluminum slats resist cutting and prying, giving better theft protection than a soft cover. With the tailgate locked, your bed stays sealed and secure.

Installing or removing the cover doesn’t need tools or drilling. The bolt-on clamps and self-leveling side rails square themselves as you tighten them, so the cover rolls out smoothly every time. Quick-release guides let you remove the entire assembly in seconds, making it simple to switch between covered and open-bed setups whenever you need.
